About Kim Henneman, DVM, FAAVA, CVA, CVC

Dr. Kimberly Henneman is the Western U.S.'s first integrative medicine veterinarian trained in and practicing more than five holistic modalities. She is a graduate of Purdue University's School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Henneman is certified in:

- Veterinary Acupuncture (1990)

- Veterinary Chiropractic (1992, the 21st in the US)

- Chinese Herbal Medicine (2000)

- Advanced Veterinary Acupuncture (2008, Fellow of Am Acad Vet Acup, 1 of 12 in the US)

She is also trained in

- Performance Biomechanics

- Nutrition

- Thermal Imaging

In May, 2006, she attended courses in Traditional Chinese and Tibetan Veterinary medicine in Beijing and Sichuan, China.

Dr. Henneman has accompanied the US Equestrian Endurance Team to competitions in Spain and the Middle East. In 2002, she ran the Sports Medicine Center for the working dogs and patrol horses at the Salt Lake City Winter Olympic Games. She is a popular national and international speaker both to animal owners and veterinarians.

Dr. Henneman is a frequent contributor to Dressage Today and has also been published in Horse Illustrated, Equus and The Equestrian (USEF). She has published chapters on acupuncture, homeopathy and chiropractic in several veterinary textbooks.

As a competitive event rider, Dr. Henneman gives her clients a unique and practical perspective, meeting all levels of performance needs while optimizing physical and emotional health.
